Holly Hills Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Ijamsvill, Maryland. The course sits in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains, near downtown Frederick Maryland, and a short drive from both Baltimore and Washington D.C..
Holly Hills Country Club first opened for play in 1974. The course was designed by Russell Roberts.
The course was built on land with steep hills and holly trees.
Being somewhat in the path of flights from The White House to Camp David, the beautiful course caught the eye of George Bush. He asked for permission to play the course, and play it he did, multiple times.
